The home owner wanted an authentic Bavarian Chalet reminiscent of his childhood home, so he came to Hance Construction for complete construction management. We imported many of the materials for this 10,000 square foot project straight from Germany. While this achieved an impressive look, it also created daily conversion issues that stemmed from the differences in European measurement & electrical systems.

- In order to achieve an authentic German feel, Hance tailored this construction project by using unique European products and techniques.
But unique materials weren’t the only focus of this challenging project. Hance Construction also:
- Created an energy-efficient construction by using block with an R41 factor. Most American homes have a mere R19.
- Planned and installed a state-of-the-art geothermal HVAC system
- Employed industrial construction techniques to save the owner money. For example, we used European gang forms, which reduced costs, allowed for more intricate concrete forming and enhanced crew safety.
