Community Involvement
Hance Construction is committed to its surrounding communities. Whether putting our knowledge and experience to work or simply lending a helping hand, we strongly believe in playing an active role in local charitable endeavors. Below are just a few of the community organizations we regularly support.
Warren County Habitat for Humanity
Hance Construction, Inc. is proud to support Warren County Habitat for Humanity with such sponsorships as a bowling event to aid a veteran family. Most recently, we were a Foundation Sponsor for their Beams & Dreams event, an evening of dining and giving back. A few of the Hance team members were able to attend the event which featured a lovely dinner, live entertainment, and auctions to benefit the nonprofit organization.
Abilities of Northwest Jersey & Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County
Hance Construction recently supported two local service organizations by sponsoring a tree at the Festival of Trees hosted by Rossi Chevrolet Buick GMC in Washington, NJ. This event supported both Abilities of Northwest Jersey and the Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County. Abilities of Northwest Jersey provides employment opportunities and support services for people with disabilities. The Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County assists local victims of interpersonal violence and empowers these victims to work towards prevention and positive change.
People Care Center
As a past president and board member of People Care Center in Bridgewater, NJ, Art Hance continues to support this valuable organization. Established in 1984, People Care Center provides program and office space to non-profit organizations at affordable rental costs. People Care Center received the 2003 Quality of Life Award from the Somerset County Business Partnership.
HomeSharing
HomeSharing's mission is to prevent homelessness by matching "providers" (residents who need to share their homes or apartments in order to maintain them) with "seekers" (individuals searching for affordable housing in the community).
Hance Construction contributes to the HomeSharing organization each year to give several hundred families the opportunity to have a special Thanksgiving meal.
200 Club of Hunterdon
The 200 Club of Hunterdon County is a charitable, nonprofit organization established in 1976 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The Club’s Executive Board, Trustees, Honorary Trustees and members serve in a volunteer capacity and receive great satisfaction from helping to provide for the families of fallen heroes.
Hunterdon County YMCA
Hance Construction, Inc. supports the YMCA’s Campaign for Kids & Community. Through its donors, the YMCA is able to offer financial assistance for individuals and families that qualify, and also provide subsidy for much needed community programs. In addition, Art Hance is a member of the Chairman’s Roundtable and assists on the Properties Committee.
