Hance worked with the owner to select a site, gain approvals and tailor a Butler building to Confident Canine's unique needs. The building was designed with energy efficient roof and wall systems for lower operating expenses while providing a comfortable environment for staff and dogs. Custom trim details were developed for interior spaces to eliminate injury to the dogs while providing maintenance free finishes.

Project Overview

 

Building Specifics:

The building footprint is 12,042 sf with 10,800 sf under cover. The walls are Butler Shadowall EX in Cool Shell Gray with R25 insulation and Butler Mod-36 liner panel. Shadowall EX offers superior energy efficiency at a lower cost than insulated metal panels. This system utilizes a unique stanchion system that allows for 8” of blanket insulation, providing outstanding U-factor ratings. The trim, gutters and downspouts are Cool Birch White. The roof is Butler MR-24 with the TBS Insulation System giving a value of R33. As energy codes become more stringent and energy costs continue to fluctuate, it’s important to have an insulation system that will help save on the building’s heating and cooling costs. The unique design of the TBS insulation system provides more blanket insulation to meet stringent U-factors and R-values required by stricter energy codes. It also can be installed in a fraction of the time it takes to install competitive below-the-purlin insulation systems.
