Hance Named Top Builder by Metal Construction News

In their most recent survey of the largest contractors in the metal building industry, Metal Construction News listed Hance Construction in the top 100 metal building contractors in the country by both tonnage and square footage. This was measured by way of an online survey that asked contractors to disclose the volume of materials they used in their business over the course of 2021. This report comes after a year of rapid change and labor shortages in the metal building industry.

Despite wild fluctuations in steel prices, labor shortages, supply chain issues, and scheduling problems, the top 100 metal building contractors saw a 13.1% increase in tonnage and 12.5% increase in square footage of metal building systems installed. This is not wholly surprising after 2020’s nearly industry-wide shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in a time when many businesses and industries are simply doing their best to survive, Hance Construction and the metal building industry continue to thrive.
