Indoor Grow Facility for Warren County Dispensary
Cannabis by Hance ConstructionHance Construction
For this project, Hance Construction took a 76,000-square-foot greenhouse and converted it into an indoor grow and processing facility to serve the Warren County Dispensary in Morris County, New Jersey. Success in the cannabis industry is about getting to market quickly, so it was critical for Hance to rapidly roll with the project owner’s changes to keep construction on task and on schedule.
This project proved to be particularly challenging because of the constraints that a greenhouse presents. These structures are not designed to carry any load, so our team essentially constructed a building out of insulated metal panels within the building. We also took a 38,000-gallon water tank and affixed it to the building with an upgraded mechanical system to support it.
Project Challenges
- Meeting ambitious timelines requested by the client.
- Designing a structure inside the structure to avoid greenhouse load constraints.
