New Jersey's First Greenhouse Grow Cannabis Facility

Hance Construction was proud to play a part in the development of the first greenhouse grow cannabis project in the state of New Jersey. While we were working on another project on the same property, representatives of this project's ownership team consulted with Hance on a greenhouse they were attempting to oversee themselves. What we quickly learned was that the existing plans were not inclusive of all the work that would be needed, and the company would likely face significant budget overages and more expenses down the road.

Hance came on board and immediately found areas ripe for improvement and efficiency. Instead of just completing work on one greenhouse, we laid the infrastructure that will allow the company to evolve, including converting to combined heat and power to more greenhouses in the future. We also worked with the owner to secure state requirements for the greenhouse's security. It's never easy telling someone bad news—like that the plan they thought was in good shape actually needed an overhaul—but we believe in transparency, and that's one of the things our customers like most about working with Hance.
